Pole based heels classes use the classic platform/pleaser style heel. This is because we use the platform and stiletto of the heel as a separate apparatus to achieve moves and shapes that are not attainable barefoot. We suggest students purchase their heels through the pleasershoes.com website or similar site such as pole junkie, or hella heels. We also suggest beginners start with a platform between 6-7" and a boot style shoe. For most pleasershoes people find they need to size up or stay true to size in boots. Students are welcome to get sandals, just know they require more ankle strength when starting out and may need to be sized down. As you do not want your toes to be able to slide forward past the edge of the shoe.
